Curb side yard waste collection started the first week of April.
You can put out your yard waste with your regular trash for collection.
Voluntary outdoor water use restriction. Residents and
businesses with odd numbered addresses (i.e. ending in 1,3,5,7, or 9) are asked
to do outdoor watering only on odd numbered dates. Likewise, those with even
numbered addresses (i.e. 0,2,4,6, or 8) should water lawns, fill swimming pools,
wash cars, etc., only on even numbered dates.
Canton Township Public Works is asking that all underground
irrigation systems be programmed to operate during the non-peak hours of 12:00am
to 6:00am. This restriction will help manage the community's water demands and
will help lower future water rate increases. Questions can be directed to Brad
Lear, Water Division Supervisor, Canton Township Public Works, 734-397-1011.
Thank you for your cooperation
The detention pond treatment dates have been tentatively set to
occur during the following weeks: April 23, May 21, June 18, July 31, August 27,
and September 17. These are subject to change due to weather conditions and
unforeseen scheduling conflicts. On the days of treatment, signs will be posted
along the shoreline within 100 feet of the treatment area that indicate what
herbicides and other products were used and specific water use restrictions that
apply.
